If you’re wondering what to do for Halloween, University Heights is full of activities for kids – and adults – of all ages. Here are just a few of the activities taking place in the neighborhood.
Magical Maryland Street
Maryland is magical this time of year. Enjoy the extravaganza of Halloween decorations including: a cemetery, Wizard of Oz, fire-breathing dragon Norbert, Frankenstein, Frank Skinnatra & the Singing Gourds, Halloweentown, and whatever clever new treats are added. You can walk the street on your own or participate in the Halloween Spooktacular Stroll sponsored by Walkabout Inc, which starts at Trolley Barn Park on the corner of Florida & Adams at 6:45 pm. No sign-ups required.
Haunted Walk on Massachusetts
Experience the Haunted Walk behind the wall of terror on Massachusetts, just north of Madison. Open during regular trick-or-treating hours.
Steampunk Spooktacular at Mueller College
Stop by 4607 Park Boulevard for a day of music, costume contests, vendors, food trucks, and games. For the little steampunks, they’ll have candy, games, face painting and balloons to enjoy. Tomorrow @ noon.
And when Halloween has ended, you can keep the fun going at the 2nd Annual Urban Harvest Festival at the Birney joint-use field at Park & Meade on Saturday, Nov 1st.
Stay safe, and have a super spooky Halloween!
