Trenching Activity on Park and El Cajon Boulevards

Like UHCA on Facebook!Events1

Trenching is currently taking place on various segments of Park and El Cajon boulevards to install traffic signal infrastructure for the Mid-City Rapid bus line. The duration of the trenching activities depend on the underground conditions. As a result, the work schedule may be subject to change. Wherever on-street parking is affected by the trenching, No Parking signs will be posted in advance of the work. Light up the Heights

It’s time to get those holiday lights and decorations up in preparation for the annual Lights in the Heights competition. Will your house vie for Best Classic Christmas Lights or Best White Lights? Which block will show the Best Holiday Spirit? We want our businesses to pull out all the stops this year. It would really be something to see Park Boulevard all lit up!

Judging will be Wednesday, December 18. Winners will be contacted shortly after judging and will be announced in the February UHCA News; certificates will be handed out at the February 6th UHCA meeting. Can’t wait that long? Like our University Heights Community Association page on Facebook and you can see the results sooner. Join the fun and Light up UH!

Don’t Miss Caroling in the Heights this Sunday

The Full Measure Carolers and The Rockin’ Cranberries will bring traditional holiday spirit to three locations in University Heights on Sunday, December 8. The professional carolers will serenade you with uplifting, fun songs of the season.

It all begins at the north end of the Vermont Street Bridge at 5 pm. The carolers will walk across the newly decorated bridge to the UH end. We will have goodies awaiting, compliments of Twiggs. Then we are off to The Point at Golden Gate and Rhode Island Street at 5:45 pm. Again, Twiggs has generously donated goodies to eat and drink. The third and final stop at 6:30 pm will be Mystic Mocha, located at Alabama Street and Mission Avenue. Mystic Mocha goes all out for us here. A special thanks to both Mystic and Twiggs for participating.

We hope to see everyone there!
